UNARMED x ANTIESTABLISHED is a growing series of conceptual couture originally designed as garments to protect against the suspicion of having a firearm. When worn in public or as performance, the high visibility colors and clear vinyl fabrics worked to subvert certain gazes, stigmas and popular aesthetics of violence. We started with performative gallery objects, which became streetwear, and the harsh realities of our well-armed world quickly drove us to consider the possibilities of the virtual landscapes and the conceptual framework of an afrofuturistic science fiction where certain beliefs might be suspended. We are imagining an UNARMED world. The fluid body of this growing collaboration currently extends itself as a clothing brand, an installation practice, public performances, and virtual animations.

ANTIESTABLISHED is a multidisciplinary collective of artists whose interests lie on an intersection between art, noise, fashion design, popular culture and politics. Through our collaborative efforts and imaginations we are working to generate loving visions of the future, by perpetrating moments of visceral liberation in the present.
